Vice President of the FC Red Star Mr. Ivica Toncev told that FC Red Star still has a chance to keep the national football champions title. Even though Red Star is three points (with one game in advance) behind FC Partizan Toncev believes that young team of Red Star has a lot to shoe till the end of ongoing season.

He fully supports chance given to young players coming from Red Star’s Youth. Players like our young talents should have a chance to defend red-white shirt, told Mr. Toncev.

Yesterday FC Red Star played against OFK Belgrade gaining a 2:1 victory.

FC Red Star’s vice president Ivica Toncev is more than happy after Red Star’s victory against FC Radnicki Nis. ‘It is important step toward six years waited champion title, but it is still not over. We need to concentrate on the future games because there are 15 points still in the game’, said Toncev.


Next game of the FC Red Star will be played on 26th of April when Red Star will oppose their greatest football rivals FC Partizan Belgrade. If Red Star win in the coming derby match it will create more relaxed atmosphere within the team which waits champion title of Serbia since 2007.

Arjen Robben, the Bayern Munich winger, admitted that the European champions had been caught out by Real Madrid’s tactics in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final. “We expected a storm but they waited,’’ Robben told the German television station ZDF. “That was a bit of a surprise.’’ There was no storm but there was a lightning strike.
